about

Fueled by catchy hooks and uplifting energy, Heat Above unleashes the kind of anthemic rock that’s fit for the stadium. Based near Flint, Michigan, the band consists of Brady Lott (vocals/guitar), Jack Davis (bass/vocals), and Jalon Swinton (drums). The collective bends genres between buzzing rock numbers, blazing punk, danceable instrumentals, and unique melodies.

Formed in 2021, Heat Above quickly established itself in the burgeoning Detroit music scene with palpable energy, enigmatic stage presence, and poignant song writing performing at popular venues like The Crofoot, The Machine Shop and The Blind Pig.

In 2023, while continuing to perform locally and regionally, the band released their debut album, Tell Me How to Feel. Since it’s release, the album has surpassed 600,000 streams and counting. Heat Above also had the opportunity to open for Charlotte Sands, Yam Haus and Josh Abbott Band.

2024 found the band traveling to Pittsburg, PA to showcase for the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA). The band’s high-energy, fun and captivating performance drew the attention of campus activity directors all over the country. The band booked and played shows in Kansas, Ohio, Texas, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin. In addition to the university performances, Heat Above performed at music festivals in Michigan and Illinois as well as a residency at Cedar Point. In April 2024, Heat Above co-headlined a concert at the Capitol Theatre in Flint, MI where legendary artists Ray Charles, The Ramones, Black Sabbath and Rage Against the Machine have performed.

Looking ahead to 2025, Heat Above plans to continue releasing new music, performing at universities and music festivals and continuing to provide a thought provoking escape from reality through their songs.
